Faux Finishing Portfolio

Exposed Brick Finish

I layered the walls of this wine cellar with several coats of joint compound. The bricks were trowled on and then carved to better define them. No real bricks were used, it is all joint compound. After painting the "bricks", several more layers of joint compound were added around them to give a more authentic feel. I then carved cracks into the top layer. A great look for wine cellars, restaurants, or themed environments.
